About the Role

KnowledgeCity is  looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Content Writer to join our Content Development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in journalistic principles and a passion for creating engaging educational content. This role involves writing and editing eLearning courses, leveraging AI tools and software, and ensuring that all deliverables meet our internal quality standards and performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage each course project from start to finish, including writing scripts and applying required revisions
  • Develop and maintain detailed project timelines and schedules to ensure on-time delivery
  • Maintain ongoing communication with senior editors throughout the script development process
  • Organize and manage all course documentation and version control for course materials
  • Use Gen AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) to support research, content development, and enhancement
  • Create, review, and edit course content in American English for clarity, conciseness, and engagement
  • Develop engaging scripts for video and audio content, incorporating storytelling techniques
  • Ensure all course materials meet company standards for quality and alignment with topic outlines
  • Submit polished, error-free content on time with minimal revisions
  • Meet monthly KPIs related to content output, quality metrics, and project completion
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders through clear communication
  • Stay current with evolving technologies and learning platforms
  • Maintain organized digital files and course assets

Qualifications

  • Degree in English, English Writing and Grammar, English Journalism, or relevant field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in content writing, journalism, or educational writing
  • Mastery of American English grammar, punctuation, and usage
  • Experience in proofreading, editing, and long-form content writing (5,000+ words)
  • Strong attention to detail across written and visual elements
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines with high-quality work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Grammarly, and Gen AI tools
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication and prioritization abilities
  • Familiarity with professional style guides, especially AP Stylebook

Eligibility

  • Available to work Monday - Friday: 02:00 AM PST - 11:00 AM PST
  • Strong writing portfolio, including published work
  • Prepared to complete a writing and editing assessment if shortlisted
