Position Summary
The Associate - GL position is part of the GDS India Finance Team and reports to the Associate - Finance. This role is critical in supporting accounting and controlling activities for selected entities within EY.
You will oversee month-end close, accruals, audits, intercompany reconciliations, schedules, and related reporting requirements for India entities. You'll work closely with Finance and Accounting teams both in India and overseas to provide accurate and timely information for month-end close, and liaise with various stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Coordinate with other finance stakeholders to ensure that month-end schedules are met and necessary entries are posted before cut-off.
- Assist in the preparation of variance analysis calculations for monthly closures.
- Post journal entries in SAP, ensuring adherence to internal approval mechanisms.
- Participate in audits, reconciliations, and preparation of financial schedules as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-border teams in different time zones.

Qualification Requirements
- Educational Background: M.Com (Master of Commerce)
- Experience: 0–2 years of relevant experience.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with large datasets.
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
